Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of immigration law and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. This role is essential in supporting attorneys with various immigration-related matters, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.

Duties

• Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration petitions and applications, including but not limited to family-based petitions, employment-based visas, and naturalization applications.
• Conduct thorough legal research on immigration laws and regulations to support case preparation.
• Draft legal documents, contracts, and correspondence related to immigration matters.
• Maintain accurate records of case files, including data entry into case management systems.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding their cases, providing updates and gathering necessary information.
• Organize and manage case files, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with legal standards.
• Collaborate with other legal professionals within the firm on cross-disciplinary matters such as securities law or environmental law as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a legal setting preferred.
• Previous experience as a paralegal or in a law office environment, particularly in immigration law is highly desirable.
• Strong skills in legal drafting and contract preparation.
• Proficient in data entry with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with administrative tasks within a legal context.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
