Strategic Sourcing/Procurement Specialist

As part of this global team, the Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the provision of Sourcing and Buying capabilities to meet the global and regional business requirements for assigned categories.

The Strategic Sourcing Indirect Team is responsible for the provision of strategic and operational procurement for assigned materials and services
related to IT, HR, Finance, Marketing, Facilities Management etc.  The team’s primary objectives are to:

• Understand and analyze the business requirements and demand for the assigned categories
• Develop and implement category strategies
• Manage Sourcing & Buying of materials and services for Corporate Functions
• Drive value from group category and supplier management – with a high focus on reducing SG&A costs

The main responsibilities are to:

• Lead and facilitate sourcing projects aimed at identifying cost saving and optimization opportunities
• Assist in developing the appropriate sourcing strategy by utilizing best in class sourcing methodologies
• Collaborate with stakeholders to help them develop specifications, gain quotations and conduct analysis to balance the value of competing bids and make business case based recommendations
• Support the Global Indirect Procurement Management Team and work with suppliers to ensure cost reduction, risk mitigation and to establish robust commercial agreements
• Lead, coordinate and take responsibility for all day-to-day operational procurement activities and troubleshooting, including serving as a liaison with end-users and other internal stakeholders, as required
• Resolve any day-to-day end user and supplier operational queries including invoice and payment issues in conjunction with Finance and budget holders as appropriate when escalated from the Team
• Empower, mentor and develop team members to ensure ongoing skills/knowledge growth, succession/resilience planning and self-sufficiency/ownership/responsibility as far as practically possible
• Oversee day-to-day order lead-time resolution with the team and internal stakeholders
• Be a leading example of the Client's mission, vision and values
• Adhere to company and functional policies and procedures
