We are currently looking to Assistant Manager to our Purchasing Team. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Purchasing Manager to support our VP of Purchasing and Fleet. This role will be critical in managing material procurement for large-scale landscape projects, targeting cost efficiencies, and building supplier relationships to achieve substantial monthly and annual savings.

• Directly support the VP in purchasing strategies for all landscape materials, including irrigation, green goods, dry goods, and site furnishings.
• Assist in managing procurement schedules to optimize buyout timing for new projects.
• Assist in coordinating and negotiating credit terms, early-pay discounts, and rebate programs with vendors.
• Assist in savings on material costs, ensuring alignment with budget goals.
• Assist in oversee Master Purchase Order (PO) tie-offs and maintain monthly buyout logs for each buyer.
• Evaluate suppliers to secure quality materials at the best possible price; negotiate contracts to meet project timelines and budget goals.
• Collaborate with Production to develop submittals for architect reviews, tree tagging when necessary, and ensuring materials meet specifications and are delivered accurately and on time.
• Learn and conduct staff training and assign tasks, monitoring progress on procurement projects and maintaining buyout logs and monthly budget entries.
• Assist in compliance with DVBE/MBE/SBE programs, and manage relationships with high-quality vendors to support diversity and sustainability goals

Qualification Requirements: Proven skills in negotiation, budgeting and vendor relationship management. Strong oral/written math & communication skills, solid work ethic, and high integrity. Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team. Highly organized, analytical, goal driven, and focused on results. Proficient in Excel and procurement software, with strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities. Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with large-scale procurement projects. Landscape, Horticulture or Construction experience as well as education in any related field is a plus. Salary Range $70,000-$80,000 annually plus performance bonus. In Office Position - Schedule - Monday- Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm We offer a competitive salary and employee benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, life, LTD insurance and 401k.
