The Program Assistant II - Revenue Cycle is the person that staff and outside visitors first engage with. The Program Assistant II - Revenue Cycle is responsible for time sensitive departmental duties assigned by Supervisor. Program Assistant II provides essential support to the Revenue Cycle Department.

Responsibilities

  • Scan zero batches from Revenue Cycle Specialist (Payment Poster) daily in a timely manner
  • Open mail daily, date stamp and distribute
  • Scan daily correspondence. Examples: Daily EOBs for denials, Refund backup and letters from Insurance payors
  • Match weekly checks to Refund backup and mail out to payors
  • Monitor Internal Revenue Cycle email boxes, review respond to inquiries appropriately
  • Handle outgoing bulk mailings to providers and patient daily
  • Responsible for monitoring and supply ordering
  • Update Patient addresses in Epic after confirming with Patient
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Manager or Director

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and mouse, navigate computer programs, and use email in a business setting
  • Ability to communicate verbally in person, on the phone, and in writing in a clear and concise manner
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Under general supervision, ability to use initiative and sound judgment in carrying out responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate verbally in person, on the phone, and in writing in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, complex healthcare environment
  • Ability to establish professional relationships with patients, families, staff and providers

Preferred:

  • Customer Service experience in a business setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

The hourly pay range for this position is from $23.32 to $33.20 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
