This position is a key role in the Injection Molding Operations. Primary focus will be on implementing continuous improvement, new business, and capacity expansion projects. Additional focus will also be on manufacturing equipment reliability and process support work within the Injection Molding Operations. You will also be involved in Multi-functional project management within this role.

Cleveland’s technology and automation is groundbreaking. It is the U.S. sole source for plastic pour bottles, glass IV bottles, and various reconstitution devices. This facility produces several major product lines with a diverse array of automated manufacturing technologies ranging from bottle solution filling, injection molding, tubing extrusion, and device assembly. What you'll be doing

• Design/modify precision medical molding & inspection equipment.
• Manage numerous projects with minimal supervision.
• Prepare estimates for various tasks and projects.
• Manage capital projects both directly and through coordinating engineers.
• Drive Continuous Improvement Activities.
• Work with plant and corporate groups as well as contractors and vendors.
• Manage start-up, debug, and commission of new manufacturing processes.
• Equipment life cycle management including upgrades, replacement, and decommissioning.
• Product life cycle management including product design changes, material changes, Supplier Notice of Change (SNC) assessments, specification changes, etc.
• Provide technical support/troubleshooting to injection molding operations.
• Demonstrate proactive communication and problem solving.
• Responsible for supporting and achieving Value Improvement Projects (VIP’s).
• Responsible for adhering to FDA Design Control standards at all times.
• Responsible for adhering to and maintaining all department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), forms, and logbooks.
• Generate technical documents, reports, equipment specifications, and interpret technical drawings/schematics

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Required (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, or Polymer Science degrees are preferred)
• 0-2 years Engineering / Manufacturing experience. FDA manufacturing preferred.
• Plastics processing experience such as: plastic bottle blow molding, plastic component injection molding, liquid silicone molding is preferred.
• Knowledge of Scientific Molding/De-coupled Molding concepts is preferred.
• Design software experience (like AutoCAD, Solid Works, etc.) is preferred.
• Programming/troubleshooting experience with automation controls, automated assembly, control systems, PLC’s, HMI’s, Servo’s, and vision inspection systems is a plus.
• Project Management skills and experience (including Microsoft Project software) are a plus.
• Lean Manufacturing skills and experience are a plus.
• Six Sigma Certification or industry standard equivalent is a plus.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $72,000 - $99,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
