We are seeking a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper with expertise in QuickBooks Desktop to join our team and help us maintain accurate financial records and support our accounting needs.

Job Summary:

The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing all aspects of our company's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining the integrity of our financial records. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with QuickBooks Desktop and a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping:
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions.
  • Maintain and update the general ledger and prepare journal entries.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Generate and analyze reports to support financial decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements for audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Payroll Management:
  • Process payroll accurately and timely, including handling deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations.
  • Expense Tracking and Budgeting:
  • Track and manage expenses, including reconciling vendor statements and ensuring timely payments.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Software Utilization:
  • Utilize QuickBooks Desktop for all accounting functions, including data entry, report generation, and financial analysis.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any software-related issues in collaboration with IT support.
  • Tax and Compliance:
  • Prepare and file sales tax returns and other tax-related documents.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Provide support for various administrative tasks as needed, including managing office supplies and coordinating with external vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar role, with a strong focus on QuickBooks Desktop.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Experience in an organization with 100+ employees, is a plus.
