Job Description
We're looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Business/Requirements Analyst to support our Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) contract. You'll play a pivotal role in modernizing the Navy's supply chain business processes, helping to enhance Navy Logistics and improve operational efficiency.
What You'll Be Doing:
Process Improvement: Lead efforts to analyze and optimize business processes for the Navy's Naval Operational Supply System (NOSS).
Requirements Analysis: Document and assess the functionality of existing information systems, and translate needs into actionable requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between contractor teams, stakeholders, and process owners to drive business reform objectives.
Workshops and Interviews: Facilitate workshops and conduct interviews to map business processes, identify pain points, and establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Collaborative Design: Work with teams to design more efficient supply chain processes and requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Technical Content: Develop clear and accurate technical documentation, including briefings, narratives, and justifications.
Project Presentations: Create and present project status updates using Microsoft Suite.
Agile Methodologies: Utilize agile practices such as scrum and kanban to manage project tasks and deliverables.
System Evaluation: Analyze system demonstrations, provide feedback, and recommend improvements.
What We're Looking For:
Experience: 8-10 years in IT, with a background in requirements gathering, process analysis, and information systems integration. A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead business process design and facilitate workshops. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.
Process Improvement: Knowledge of Business Process Improvement/Reengineering and experience with BPMN 2.0 notation and Microsoft Visio.
Supply Chain Knowledge: Familiarity with supply chain management practices.
Technical Writing: Ability to create detailed technical documentation.
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
Navy Experience: Familiarity with NAVSUP or Navy Supply Chain Management.
Certifications: Lean Six Sigma or Project Management Certification (PMP).
Technical Skills: Knowledge of SAP and strong analytical skills.
Travel Requirements:
This position is remote but may require monthly travel to Norfolk, VA or Mechanicsburg, PA for client meetings.
Physical Requirements:
The role involves sitting or standing for extended periods, typing, and reading from a computer screen. You should be able to perform tasks that require bending, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
